Arkayist is the music project of Portland-based filmmaker Robert Anthony. Dark, emotional, synth driven arrangements sit on a bed of organic percussion and orchestral elements – synthesis and nature. Arkayist has opened for Sarah Jaffe, Ryan Caraveo, CAPYAC and Dark Rooms. “Don't Drink and Drive” was produced in his home studio with analog synthesizers, stringed instruments and hours of field recordings. Mixed by Alex Bhore of Elmwood Studios (Black Taffy, Lymbyc Systym, Wild Beasts) and mastered by Sarah Register (Depeche Mode, Future Islands, Moss Of Aura). Any earnings Arkayist makes fund efforts to fight issues such as human trafficking, climate change, and educational inequality.
